Significant changes to the UK taxation of foreign pensions were announced in Finance Bill 2017, including the removal of foreign service relief, extensions to member payment charges and changes to domicile and remittance rules, impacting UK residents with foreign pension income. These changes come into effect from 6 April 2017 and could impact a number of stakeholders in the delivery of pensions including employers, active and deferred plan members and Trustees.
